Antonio Barona

Antonio Barona is the responsible of the overall R&D, Innovation & Business strategy of the company. He holds a Bs in Civil Engineering, M.Sc. on Materials and Innovation, M.Sc. in Project Management. Mr. Barona has more than 10 years of experience in the coordination of international research. He is member of several international academic, business and research platforms dealing with Environmental and Energy Technologies for a Sustainable Future. In terms of international research cooperation, he has not only actively participated in several project proposals but has led the project Coordination of the FP7 projects: EE-QUARRY & S4EeB.

Ana Dubois

Ana-Maria Dubois holds a Master’s Degree in Management and Sustainability from Toulouse Business School and an M.A. in International Management from the Bradford University School of Management. She worked as sustainability and marketing manager in private companies in France and Latin America and as project manager at the Brazil UNEP Institute before joining Rio’s Federal University UFRJ as head of Social Innovation research in the environmental engineering department. She is experienced in lab to market strategy, Social LCA, marketing and sustainability strategy. Currently she is working as market and business strategist in Vertech Group

Dr Erasmo Cadena

Erasmo Cadena has a PhD in Environmental Science from Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona (UAB). He holds a Msc in Enviromental Engineering. Postdoctoral Researcher at University of Cambridge-UK and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), BarcelonaTech. He has experience in international research initiatives and his research interests include technical, environmental and economic analysis of new processes and high-performance. products, life cycle assessment, life cycle costs analysis.

Dr Antonella D Luca

Antonella De Luca obtained a PhD in Advanced Technologies for Water Sanitation from the Universitat de Barcelona. She also holds a BSc and MSc in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Her expertise lies in the field of sustainable and innovative solutions for environmental sanitation & protection (water and waste water treatment, waste management, Environmental Impact Assessment, LCA and LCC). During her PhD she worked in close collaboration with many research centers and private companies in multidisciplinary and international contexts leading several consulting projects. She is currently working at Vertech-Group as Project Engineer in the Technical execution team.

Camilla Tomasetta

Camilla Tomasetta obtained a PhD in Economics and Management of Technology (DREAMT) from the University of Pavia. During her PhD project on Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment, she collaborated with the LCA Working Group from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and with the CIRAIG research Centre. She also holds a joint Master degree in Environmental Sciences with focus on Sustainable Development released by Ca’ Foscari University and Utrecht University. During and after her studies, she worked on the Life Cycle Assessment and waste field with research centres and private companies, such as Deltares and EcoInnovazione.

Evelyn Tachau Brown

Evelyn Tachau-Brown is an award-winning practitioner with over 10 years of experience helping international organisations identify their communication needs and execute tailored plans with a focus on HSSE disciplines (Health, Safety, Security, and the Environment). She holds a Master’s degree in Organisational Communications with specialisations in New Media and Professional Writing. She also holds a secondary teaching degree for both French and English languages and certifications in Business Management and Change Management. Her work experience includes website creation, content development, advertising, event management, and campaign strategies for private, publicly listed, and non-profit organisations in Energy, Tourism, and Education.

Dr Paola Castrillo

Paola Castrillo has a BSc. in food engineering, a BSc. in industrial engineering, a MSc in materials engineering and a Science and Materials Engineering PhD from Carlos III University of Madrid. From 2004 to the present she has been active in the preparation, management and coordination of several European R& D projects in the areas of sustainability, circular economy, high-grade materials, energy and resources efficiency. Her research interests include sustainability and circularity assessments of innovative value chains and capacity building on life cycle thinking. She is the Technical Coordinator of the CLOSEWEEE (H2020) and FFW (FP7) projects. Currently working as R&D Manager for Vertech Group. Dr. Castrillo is member of the Forum for Sustainability through Life Cycle Innovation, the Indian LCA Alliance and she contributes with the Iberoamerican Life Cycle Network, leading the creation of new LCA networks in Latin America. She contributes with the UNEP/SETAC LCA initiative and EC-JRC in different initiatives such as workshops on LCA Global Guidance Principles Conformance Assessment and Review of datasets. Mrs. Castrillo also participates in ISO International Workshops Agreements.

Marco Grippa

Marco Grippa has an extensive background (BSc and MSc) in Mechanical Engineer and he also holds an MSc in Energy for Smart Cities where he has been studying, as a double degree student, at both Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona with the major focus on sustainability and innovation, mostly related in energy sector. He worked for different start-ups related to renewable energies and environmental-friendly technologies. Currently working as Project Engineer in the execution’s team at Vertech Group, for several European projects regarding the Life Cycle Thinking approach implementation.
